CCBC is involved in the Balanced Viewpoint Worldsourcing conference in Halifax on January 12. Executive Director Sarah Kutulakos and member Hong Gang will participate in the session "Country Showcase: The China Advantage," and director David Fung will speak on "Worldsourcing and the Global Supply Chain."

Speaker Topics:

Sarah Kutulakos
"The China Advantage"

China is rapidly emerging as a promising destination for outsourcing of IT and business process functions and this country showcase will examine such issues including the major drivers behind the emergence of China and how is it positioning itself within the global sourcing landscape. Experienced executives will guide us through this industry, featuring their organizations' experiences in the region. Learn about the distinct advantages of China and how a combination of a talented labor pool, rapidly developing infrastructure, a burgeoning domestic market and rapid investment is quickly making China a credible alternative to India.

Dr. David Fung
"Worldsourcing and the Global Supply Chain"

Speakers in this discussion panel will examine the latest elements of change in organization strategy and will debate the nature of supply chain transactions and the management of sourcing environments. They will also highlight newly revealed trends in organization management that suggest that outsourcing is now under the same scrutiny, with evolution similar to those that other corporate functions have experienced over the past two decades. The panel will review how companies are responding to dramatic changes in the global economy and positioning themselves, through the worldsourcing of global services and resources, to re-invent their core organization.

Hong Gang
